Turkiye has stepped up its efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

Erdogan stressed the importance that Turkiye attaches to the alliance.

He also stressed that Ankara expects support from its allies in the fight against terrorism:

"Turkiye will continue to do everything it can to make NATO strong. NATO should not be taken as a side in the Russia-Ukraine war. The opportunity for an agreement should be appreciated."
