Pashinyan: Armenia backs closer EU ties

Armenia is committed to deepening and expanding cooperation with the European Union.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting with a delegation led by the Head of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighborhood Policy of the European Commission, Geert Jan Koopman.

The parties discussed the current stage of Armenia-EU relations, including the implementation of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement, economic and sectoral cooperation, digitalization, green energy, education, infrastructure development, and democratic reforms.

In addition, the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan was also discussed.
