UEFA fined AFFA 5,000 euros.

Axar.az reports that this was due to the late start of the match between the Azerbaijani women's national football team and Lithuania in the UEFA Nations League on April 4.

The match was delayed due to the head coach, Siyasat Asgarov. The specialist was given a conditional suspension of 1 match and a 1-year probationary period.

In addition, S. Asgarov was disqualified for 1 match for unsportsmanlike conduct. He served his suspension in the match against Montenegro in the next round.

AFFA reported that a UEFA representative said after the match in question that both teams were late for the match:

"However, no word was said about how many minutes we were late and whether we would be fined."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national football team, which defeated Lithuania by two unanswered goals, drew with Montenegro - 1:1. The team will host Lithuania in the final - IV - round on May 30.
