BP, its partners jointly invest $70B in Azerbaijan

BP, jointly with its partners, has so far invested more than $70 billion in Azerbaijan's oil & gas projects and other related areas, said the British company.

BP intends to continue investments in similar projects in Azerbaijan, according to the company's message issued Apr. 15.

The British company is the largest foreign investor in Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector.

BP is operating the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of oil and gas fields and the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field.

The company is also a member of such pipeline projects as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline and the South Caucasus Pipeline, meant for gas transportation.
