At least three people were killed in a suicide car bombing in Yemen’s coastal city of Aden on Tuesday, according to a medical source.

Axar.az reports citing AP.

Local residents said a booby-trapped car hit a mess hall serving Yemeni forces trained by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Sheikh Othman district in Aden.

“Three people were killed in the attack,” the medical source said on condition of anonymity because he was unauthorized to speak to media.

He said several people were also injured, including three seriously.

Victims were seen being carried out by ambulances following the bombing.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.

The UAE is a member of a Saudi-led military coalition that has launched a massive air campaign in 2015 against Houthi rebels, who overran much of Yemen a year earlier.

Aden is the temporary seat of the Saudi-backed Yemeni government.
