Iran flights to Najaf resume after nine-day suspension

Flights between Iran and Iraq’s Najaf resumed on Sunday after a nine-day suspension, with the first Iranian flight arriving at Najaf International Airport from Tehran.

Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, that Mustafa Kaba, the airport’s director of media affairs, said the flight was operated by Iran’s Caspian Airlines and carried more than 150 passengers.

Najaf airport authorities had announced the resumption of flights between the two countries on Sunday, with three flights scheduled for the evening.

The flights had been suspended for more than nine days before services resumed.
