Israeli Police, Defense Forces detain 10 terror suspects

A number of Israel's law enforcement agencies, as well as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), detained 10 people in the West Bank on suspicion of terrorism and violent activities.

Axar.az reports citing on local media.

According to The Jerusalem Post, the IDF, the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), border police and police forces carried out a joint operation in the West Bank that started on Monday.

The suspects have been sent for questioning, the newspaper added.

Since mid-July, the tensions between Israel and the Palestinians have escalated in Jerusalem and the West Bank. This situation emerged after Israel's move aimed at introduction of additional security measures at the entrances to the Temple Mount. In an effort to alleviate tensions, Israeli authorities weakened the measures.
