The contract for S-400 delivery to Turkey to be carried out despite the threat of U.S. Treasury sanction.

Axar.az reports citing Interfax that Speaking of possible sanctions against Ankara, the United States will not obstruct the fulfillment of the contract for the supply of Russia's S-400 air defense systems to Turkey, first deputy head of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Krasov told Interfax on Monday.

"I do not think that this threat can somehow prevent the contract for the delivery of S-400 air defense systems to Turkey from being implemented. The contract will be fulfilled," Krasov said.

His comments come in response to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's statement that Washington continues to explore the possibilities of imposing sanctions on Turkey for buying the S-400s.
