The history of tourism in Azerbaijan is young, but with the help of projects and ideas we want to put the country on a tourist map.

Axar.az reports citing to Report informs, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev has said speaking at "Development of intercultural dialogue: human security, peace and new opportunities for sustainable development" within the framework of the 4th World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue in Baku.

According to him, Azerbaijan tries to combine traditional hospitality with beautiful nature, historical monuments: "But the industry is still considering ideas that can put the country on a tourist map.
Our country has experienced a period of conflict, instability, but since 2001 we have seriously thought about the sphere of tourism. And today we are happy to see so many tourists from Europe, the Middle East and the Far East in Azerbaijan, but we are trying to attract even more tourists."
In this regard, he noted the importance of the 4th World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue hosted in Azerbaijan.
