Azerbaijan increases export to CIS countries

The volume of exports from Azerbaijan to the CIS countries increased by 30.21% in January-April 2016 and amounted to 164 159.52 thousand USD.

The State Customs Committee informs that in the reporting period imports to Azerbaijan decreased by 28.39% and amounted to 524 418.92 thousand USD.

According to the information, 6,7% of total exports fall on export operations with CIS countries, 20.22% - import operations.

The negative balance of trade with the CIS countries in the annual comparison was reduced by 40.6% and amounted to 360 259.4 thousand USD.

During the four months of 2016, exports of goods decreased by 23.81% in Russia and reached 78 538.68 thousand USD, imports - by 28.96%, amounting to 387 333.74 thousand USD. Note that the list of Azerbaijan's foreign trade partners of Russia takes the second place in terms of turnover which is 465 872.42 thousand USD, or 9.24% of the total foreign trade turnover.
