Azerbaijan has refused a loan from the World Bank

Azerbaijan has refused a loan from the World Bank for a pandemic.

Axar.az reports citing the Ministry of Finance that the Azerbaijani side has also shown interest in attracting soft loans under the "Operational Response to COVID-19" project, presented by the World Bank to all countries in the fight against coronavirus infection.

However, due to the dissatisfaction of the Azerbaijani side with the directions, conditions and procedures for the allocation of the loan, the negotiations were suspended and the World Bank was informed.

At present, obtaining a loan from the World Bank is not on the agenda.
