Nakhchivan volleyball club changes name

The “Momine Xatun” volleyball team, which will compete in Azerbaijan’s Women’s Premier Volleyball League starting next season, has been renamed.

Axar.az reports that the Nakhchivan-based team will operate under the name “Nakhchivan.”

The club said that, following a joint decision by its founder and management, and with the approval of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, it will continue its activities under the name “Nakhchivan.”

The move is intended to establish the team as a unified sports brand representing Nakhchivan both domestically and, in the future, on the international stage.
