The EU allocates 2 billion euros to Azerbaijan

The European Union (EU) plans to allocate 2 billion euros to Azerbaijan in order to contribute to the state's efforts to further diversify the economy, create jobs within the country and promote inclusive rural development.

Axar.az reports according to the information provided by the EU representative office in Baku, the investments will be allocated within the framework of the economic investment plan.

"Today, as a result of the cooperation of the European Union and Azerbaijan, the high-level working group on the EU Economic Investment Plan has started its activities. The new coordinating body is the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as well as the financial development of the EU member states. together with its institutions, with the support of the EU, will direct and determine priority investments in the spirit of "Team Europe". This will help to maximize the potential of Azerbaijan's economic and investment plan to attract up to 2 billion euros of investment to the country," the EU said.
