5% growth marks Azerbaijan's economic progress

In January-October of 2024, Azerbaijan produced AZN 103 billion 495.8 million in Gross Domestic Product (GDP), which is a 4.9% increase compared to the same period last year.

Axar.az reports that citing the State Statistics Committee the value added in the oil and gas sector grew by 1.7%, while in the non-oil and gas sector, it increased by 6.8%.

The GDP structure was as follows: 37.1% from industry, 10% from trade and vehicle repair, 7.0% from transportation and warehousing, 6.3% from construction, 6.2% from agriculture, forestry, and fishing, 2.4% from tourism and public catering, 1.8% from information and communication sectors, and 19.2% from other sectors. Net taxes on products and imports accounted for 10% of the GDP.

The GDP per capita stood at AZN 10,146.5.
