Bitcoin price tops $100,000 for first time

Bitcoin has topped $100,000 for the first time, buoyed by United States President-elect Donald Trump’s decision to nominate a cryptocurrency advocate to lead the country’s securities regulator.

Axar.az reports that earlier in the day, Bitcoin's value surged to $103,387.

Currently, the cryptocurrency's price has stabilized around $101,000 on the Binance platform.

Analysts believe that this marks a new phase in the development of the cryptocurrency market.
