France boosts direct investments in Azerbaijan by 25 times

Last year, France's direct foreign investment in Azerbaijan totaled $121.91 million.

Axar.az reports, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this marks a 25-fold increase (or $117.06 million) compared to the previous year.

French investments accounted for 1.7% of Azerbaijan’s total direct foreign investment (FDI).

Meanwhile, Azerbaijan invested $19.22 million in the French economy in 2023, a 2.43% decrease from the previous year. This represented 1.1% of Azerbaijan’s total outbound FDI.

For reference, in 2024, total FDI in Azerbaijan reached $7.05 billion, reflecting a 5.83% year-on-year increase.

In 2023, French FDI in Azerbaijan was $4.85 million, while total foreign investment in the country amounted to $6.66 billion.
