French police clear 1,000 migrants in Paris

Some 1,000 migrants have been evacuated from a refugee camp on the outskirts of Paris near Porte de la Chapelle. Around 350 police officers participated in clearing the camp.

Axar.az reports citing to RT The refugees are mainly from Africa and Afghanistan.

Last November, police cleared a camp located near Paris’ Stalingrad metro station, where 3,800 migrants were living.

Earlier last year, one of the most notorious refugee camps in Europe, the ‘Jungle’ in France’s northern city of Calais, was evacuated, and about 5,500 of its residents were sent to various housing facilities across France.
