President Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on appointment of trade representatives in Azerbaijan’s embassies and consulates in foreign countries.

Axar.az reports referring to president’s press service, the representatives will take measures to protect economic and trade links between Azerbaijan and that country, increase export of Azerbaijani goods and services, promote Azerbaijan’s business environment and investment opportunities.

In order to issue the diplomatic rank of ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of second category for the representatives and provide them with diplomatic passports, the Cabinet of Ministers is to prepare draft laws on amendments to the Law on Diplomatic Service and the Law on Passports within a month and submit to the president, and provide allocation of funds, which are required to finance the representatives from the state budget, to the Economy Ministry.
