The Baku Declaration has been adopted at the UNAOC Group of Friends High Level Meeting held as part of the 7th UNAOC Global Forum on Tuesday.

This statement was made by UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser.

Maltese President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca noted that the Baku Declaration includes some peace initiatives too.

“To get our dreams fulfilled, we must protect human rights and freedoms as well as solidarity, and acquire a peace culture. People are concerned by growing inequality. We must stick to the slogan of social inclusiveness,” the president said, noting that the Baku Declaration will promote the principles of justice and equality for everyone.
