Egyptian president has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to pay an official visit to his country.

An official of Egyptian Tourism Department Ahmed Shokri said at a news conference in Baku.

He said that the invitation was presented on March 29.

"Azerbaijan is one of the important countries for Egypt. There are good relationships between the two countries in many spheres. The main purpose of our visit to Baku is to further strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism between the two countries. Our goal is not only from Azerbaijan to Egypt, as well as to organize visit of tourists from Egypt to Azerbaijan,"-he stressed.
