Pashinyan’s past remarks on January 20 resurface -

An admission made by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan 28 years ago regarding the January 20 tragedy has resurfaced.

Axar.az reports that the admission was published at the time in the Armenian newspaper Molorak, where Pashinyan was working as a journalist.

In an article titled “Armenians and Azerbaijanis – Happy Nations,” published on February 11, 1998, Nikol Pashinyan stated that there were problems in the Armenian mindset.

He noted that this distorted way of thinking becomes more evident when it comes to the deaths of innocent Azerbaijanis and Turks.

Regarding the tragic events of January 20 in Baku, Pashinyan wrote:

“I bow my head before the souls of those killed in Baku, the innocent people murdered in the streets. On January 20, I honored the memory of the victims in Baku with a moment of silence.”
