On February 13, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Mike Sicilia, CEO of the US corporation Oracle, one of the largest software and cloud technology companies in the world, in Munich.
Axar.az reports that during the conversation, the policy implemented in our country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev on the development of technological transformation and artificial intelligence was touched upon, mutual interest in expanding cooperation with the Oracle corporation in this regard was expressed, and it was emphasized that a framework agreement had already been reached on the prospects of partnership.
Issues of long-term cooperation regarding the provision of several services by Oracle to state and private enterprises in Azerbaijan were discussed. An exchange of views was held on the activities of three Oracle academies at various leading higher education institutions in Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, it was also noted that the political relations between Azerbaijan and the United States are at a high level, and the importance of signing the "Strategic Partnership Charter between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America" was touched upon in this regard. In that document, it was emphasized that the field of artificial intelligence is reflected as a priority direction between our countries.
