The co-pilot Rustam Karimov, who died yesterday in the crash of the plane with the head of "Wagner" Yevgeny Prigozhin, was born in Perm, Russia.

Axar.az informs that the Russian press reported on this.

Karimov, 29, graduated from Sasovo Civil Aviation Flight School in Ryazan in 2014.

His father, Shukur Karimov, confirmed his son's death to the Russian media.

"Yes, Rustam Karimov is my son. This company has been operating for only three months. He went to Petersburg two months ago. Before the flight, he called his mother and said that he will fly on this flight," said his father.

Anastasia Karimova, the pilot's wife, also said in her statement that she and she celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary 5 days ago.
