The United Nations (UN) has not recorded any facts related to the ill-treatment of Armenian residents who voluntarily left the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and moved to Armenia.

Axar.az reports that the representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Armenia, Kavita Belani, said this during an online speech at the weekly press conference of the Geneva office of the UN.

"I know that so far there are no incidents, no facts about ill-treatment. It's a long road, traffic jams make it difficult for people. However, cases of mistreatment by Azerbaijanis were not recorded," he said.

According to the UN representative, more than 88,700 people left Karabakh and went to Armenia in less than a week.
