We appreciate President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev's refusal to meet in Granada.

Axar.az reports that the spokesman of Turkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (JDP) Omer Chelik said this in a press release.

He said that France has been defending Armenia for a long time.

"It is unacceptable for France to participate in the five-party meeting and for Turkiye not to participate. The President of Azerbaijan also expressed his position on this matter."

O. Celik said that France still does not say that Armenia is an aggressor:

"Azerbaijan has solved its case a long time ago. The Karabakh issue has already been resolved."

JDP representative noted that if the international community wanted peace, Turkiye would be interested in participating in the meeting.

It should be recalled that the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev refused to go to Spain, where the meeting with the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was to be held with the participation of the leaders of the European Union, France, and Germany. The reason for this is the destructive position of France, which is a participant in the planned five-way meeting, as well as Paris and Berlin's opposition to Turkiye's participation in the conference.
