President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev invited newly elected President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that this was mentioned in the congratulatory letter of Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev to Masud Pezeshkian.

"I am sure that with our joint efforts, we will achieve further strengthening of the traditional friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Iran for the sake of the interests of our peoples and countries, and the expansion of cooperation of mutual interest. I invite you to visit Azerbaijan in order to exchange ideas on the development prospects of our bilateral cooperation. I convey my best wishes to you, friend and brother, I wish you success in your future responsible activities for the welfare of the Iranian people," the head of state said.
