Armenia is confidently turning towards the West. Pashinyan is waiting for the elections in Moldova so that he can hold a similar referendum in his own country.

Axar.az reports that former Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Fyodorov said this in an interview with the "Moscow-Baku" portal.

"Electoral changes in Georgia could significantly alter the situation in the South Caucasus. If pro-Western forces come to power in Georgia (which has about a 60 percent chance), Russia and Azerbaijan will have different roles in the region. All our existing agreements will become obsolete because we could then discuss a pro-Western alliance between Georgia and Armenia in the South Caucasus.

Additionally, high chances are expected for the U.S. elections where Kamala Harris is likely to win. In contrast to a possible Trump victory, there will be nothing good to expect for either Russia or Azerbaijan," Fyodorov said.
