Armenia must decide on its level of participation in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and head of the Department of Foreign Policy Affairs, during a press briefing.

He noted that Azerbaijan has sent invitations to all members of the Convention regarding participation in COP29:

"As the host country, it is the responsibility of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan serves as a great platform for discussing issues arising from the Convention on climate change. Invitations have been sent to all member states. Of course, the decision on the level of participation in the event must be made by all member states, including Armenia itself."
