Putin spoke about plane crash in Aktau at the CIS summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed his condolences to the families of those killed in a plane crash in the Kazakh city of Aktau.

Axar.az reports that Putin made the remarks during an informal summit of CIS heads of state in St. Petersburg.

He said that a plane from the Russian Emergencies Ministry with medical personnel and equipment had flown to the crash site in the Kazakh city of Aktau.

Putin expressed confidence that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the plane crash in Aktau.
