Azerbaijan, China discuss strategic ties

On April 15, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to our country, Lu Mei.

Axar.az informs that, according to the information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Lu Mei presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities in our country.

The meeting discussed the political, economic, trade, transport-communications, and humanitarian aspects of the Azerbaijan-China strategic partnership, as well as the regional and international situation.

The importance of efforts to further strengthen our strategic partnership, which was marked by the adoption of the "Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People's Republic of China" last year, was highlighted. In this regard, the importance of high-level visits and consultation mechanisms was emphasized.

The existence of broad potential for expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, and investment was noted.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
