Azerbaijani, and Canadian top diplomats hold phone talk

Canada has thanked Azerbaijan for evacuating its citizens from Iran.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the matter.

According to the statement, a phone call took place between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand.

During the conversation, they discussed the current security situation stemming from the Israel-Iran tensions. Canada’s Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s assistance in evacuating Canadian citizens from Iran.

In response, Minister Bayramov congratulated his Canadian counterpart on his appointment and wished him success.

The two ministers also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
