Australia thanked Azerbaijan for helping evacuate its citizens from Iran.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released this information.

It stated that a phone conversation took place between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Australian counterpart Penny Wong. During the call, they discussed the current security situation resulting from the Israel-Iran confrontation.

The Australian Foreign Minister shared information about her country’s evacuation plans from Iran and expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support.

The two ministers also exchanged views on bilateral issues of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of consultation mechanisms between their foreign ministries.
