On July 24, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Axar.az reports that President Aliyev congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of his birthday, wishing him good health and continued success in his work.

President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude for the attention and warm congratulations.

The presidents discussed the role of high-level reciprocal visits in the development of bilateral relations. In this context, they highlighted the fruitful discussions and signed agreements during President Mirziyoyev’s recent state visit to Azerbaijan in early July, as well as his participation in the ECO (Economic Cooperation Organization) Summit held in the city of Khankendi.

The two heads of state expressed confidence in the continued successful development of the brotherly, friendly, and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in all areas and discussed the prospects for cooperation within the framework of the bilateral agenda.
