Kazakhstan, as part of developing international transport and simplifying procedures for carriers, has introduced a mechanism for exchanging electronic permit forms with Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Kyrgyzstan.
Axar.az informs, citing Repоrt, that this was stated in a press release from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport.
“The transition to an electronic format will eliminate paper forms and minimize administrative barriers. Now the issuance and use of permits is carried out digitally through integrated information systems of the parties,” the statement said.
The service is available via elicense.kz in the “Transport” section. To obtain an electronic permit, a vehicle must be registered in Kazakhstan and approved for international road transport.
“Previously, significant work was done to digitize Chinese and Uzbek foreign permit forms, and the launch of electronic exchange with Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Kyrgyzstan is an important step toward full digital transformation of the sector,” the ministry noted.
In connection with the transition to the electronic format, the Ministry of Transport warns carriers against purchasing permits through third parties and urges them to obtain permits only through official government services in strict compliance with established procedures.
“All information on issued electronic permits, including carrier and vehicle data (state registration number), is automatically transmitted to the information systems of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Kyrgyzstan. Thus, if a permit obtained in violation of the rules (including through third parties) is used, discrepancies in the data will be detected. This may result in refusal of entry into the territory of the specified states, as well as other liability measures,” the statement said.
