“1409724 foreign people came to Azerbaijan in the first half of 2019 and it is 6% more than corresponding period of the previous year”, Vusal Huseynov, Chief of State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, III rank state migration service counselor, said in press conference dedicated to 6 months’ finals of the State Migration Service.

Axar.az reports citing APA that the Chief of Migration Service stated that the number of people, registered where they live, was 300488: “Number of people, who are allowed for temporary living, is 17864. 2875 people have got working allowance during this period and it is 14% more in comparison with the previous year.”

The Chief of State Migration Service also noted 86 persons have been given with the refugee status.
