Teleqraf Media Holding`s appeal to the international organizations over the death of Azerbaijan Television operator Siraj Abishov, born in 1989, and AZERTAC employee Maharram Ibrahimov (Aliyoglu) as a result of mine explosion while implementing their duties in the direction of liberated Kalbajar region.
Axar.az presents the text of the appeal:
"On June 4, 2021, at about 11 am, a Kamaz passenger car with employees of TV channels and news agencies sent to the liberated Kalbajar to implement their official duties, was hit by an anti-tank mine while driving in the direction of Susuzlug village. Siraj Abishov (operator of Az TV), Maharram Ibrahimov (employee of AZERTAC news agency), Arif Aliyev (deputy representative of the head of the Executive Power in Susuzluq village) died, and 4 other people, including the driver, were hospitalized with various injuries as the result of the incidents.
This tragedy once again shows how Armenia has abused the deadline for the liberation of three other regions, including Kalbajar, after the November 10, 2020 statement. It should be mentioned that Fuzuli, Zangilan, Gubadli, and other districts, including the occupied Aghdam of Azerbaijan have turned into complete ruin, and the diplomats and foreign media representatives who have already visited those districts have witnessed it with their own eyes.
In our other regions - Kalbajar and Lachin, Armenians who temporarily settled in 1992-93, burned the houses and forests belonging to Azerbaijanis, shot, and killed the animals they could not take within the deadline given after the November 10 statement leaving huge destruction behind, and at the same period, the Armenian armed forces were engaged in increasing the number of landmines planted for 27 years and organizing the tragedy of civilians returning to their homes.
You have probably had the opportunity to follow the fires committed by Armenian civilians on social media and the Armenian media itself. Today, you can once again observe the results of the actions of the occupier Armenian after the death of our counterparts today.
Unfortunately, after the 44-day war, about 100 civilians and servicemen were killed by landmines in the liberated territories. After the November 10 statement, Azerbaijan repeatedly raised the issue of handing over the minefield maps to Azerbaijan before international organizations and in all trilateral talks demanded it from Armenia, but so far official Yerevan has refused to provide these maps."
Dear Colleagues!
By sending all the details, videos, and photos of this incident to you, we expect that you will not remain silent about the deaths of professional journalists as a result of landmine terror, you will protest against this and demand Armenia to provide the minefield maps to Azerbaijan.
It should be noted that the appeal has been sent to Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, Reporters Without Borders, and other international organizations.
