The Armenian dram is tied to the ruble, not to other currencies. Therefore, the strengthening of the ruble exchange rate affects the drama.
Axar.az reports that economic expert Natig Jafarli said these words in his statement.
"Processes going on in the world affect Armenia indirectly, not directly. The rise of drama comes from Armenia's close ties to Russia. Today, Russian companies are increasingly choosing Armenia to bypass the sanctions. Companies and people bring currency with them when they come to the country. When the dram changes that currency, it increases the supply of dollars and euros in this country.
It should be noted that the dollar fell to 395 drams in Armenia. However, a few months ago, the dollar was at the level of 490 drams.
