It is not possible to explain or justify the crime that happened in the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran. Even if someone says that this is the crime of only one terrorist, I think it should be investigated carefully.
Axar.az informs that the first deputy general director of "TASS" Information Agency, Mikhail Gusman, commented on the terrorist act committed in the embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran in an interview.
The journalist emphasized the importance of conducting a "serious investigation of this crime" by Iranian officials and said: "What caused this crime? Did someone stand behind the person who committed the crime? Did he collude with someone? Who armed him? I don't think Kalashnikov assault rifles are sold in stores in Tehran. All this raises big questions. Anti-Azerbaijani militant hysteria has been going on in the Iranian media for a long time, and all this is, of course, very sad."
M. Gusman noted that terrorism has no nationality, it requires a harsh response and punishment. "As the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev rightly said, there is no place for terrorism in the modern world. In this case, Azerbaijan correctly assesses the situation and I think it will demand appropriate explanations and decisions from Iran. I want to add that the real hero of this crime is the head of the embassy's security service Orkhan Asgarov died, he prevented greater troubles at the cost of his life. It was clear that the terrorist wanted to take more lives. It could have been worse if other security service employees had not stopped the criminal from continuing his crime. I offer my condolences to the family of Orkhan Asgarov. Once again, the President of Azerbaijan I want to repeat: there is no place for terrorism in the world, it cannot be forgiven or justified," he added.
