Russian-Azerbaijani relations are at the highest level.

Axar.az reports with reference that Andrey Yatskin, the first deputy chairman of the Russian Federation Council, said this at the 20th-anniversary meeting of the inter-parliamentary commission on bilateral cooperation between the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis and the Russian Federation Council in Baku.

"We attach special importance to the intensification of these relations. We are strengthening our inter-parliamentary cooperation as well as beyond it," said A. Yatskin. He noted that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia has increased:

"The desire of the regions to cooperate is increasing. Cooperation in the transport sector is very important for the economy of the two countries."
