Turkiye expels Armenian journalist who defamed Baku

Turkiye has denied entry to the pro-Armenian journalist Nil Hauer, who wrote critical articles against Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the Canadian journalist shared this information on his social media account.

He stated that he arrived in Istanbul from Yerevan yesterday, but was told that he was on the "blacklist" and was sent back to Yerevan.

The journalist wrote that he would challenge this ban, but did not exclude the possibility that it could be related to his criticism of Azerbaijan and his pro-Armenian stance on the events in Karabakh.

It is worth noting that Nil Hauer had recently criticized the decision to hold COP29 in Azerbaijan and accused the country of carrying out "ethnic cleansing in Karabakh."
