France’s Arte.TV channel has produced a documentary about Azerbaijan that is not only biased but also completely immoral, false, hypocritical, and goes against human decency.
Axar.az reports that part of the documentary, titled "Armenia: Caught in the Middle", is full of slander and is dedicated to the alleged "deportation" of Armenians during the First Karabakh War in the 1990s.
The producers of this anti-Azerbaijani "documentary" present footage of Azerbaijani civilians being displaced from their homes during the occupation of Kalbajar as so-called "deportations" of Armenians.
The French, who pride themselves on being the hegemons of global free media and always boast of their professionalism, shamelessly portray the displacement of Azerbaijanis as "oppressed Armenian refugees."
The channel’s chosen "expert," Richard Kirakosyan, spoke about the so-called "suffering" of Armenians in the 1990s, even comparing it to the fabricated 1915 genocide. Kirakosyan even went as far as to claim that Turkiye and Azerbaijan are "brother nations capable of committing the same atrocities."
The situation becomes even more horrific afterward. This fraudulent and hypocritical "documentary" was released on online platforms about three weeks ago. Following Azerbaijanis' strong objections and comments exposing the truth, the channel resorted to a more immoral tactic: it blocked access to the film from Azerbaijan, deleted comments and videos revealing the truth, and left the film accessible to all countries except Azerbaijan.
This means that the creators of the film were very well aware of the fact that the footage they used depicted Azerbaijanis being displaced and were aware of their exposure. When they realized they had been caught, they blocked access to the film from Azerbaijan and continued their deceit against our country.
This is, in fact, a clear demonstration of the immoral policy being pursued against Azerbaijan in France.
Azerbaijanis living in various countries around the world can continue to expose the truth in the comment section of this "film" and voice their objections. Additionally, a response from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also needed.
We are sharing the link to the film for this purpose (it is possible to access it from Azerbaijan using a VPN).
