UN Resident Coordinator extends condolences to Azerbaijan

UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva has expressed condolences to Azerbaijan regarding the plane crash.

Axar.az reports that this was shared on her X account:

"Deeply saddened by the reports of the Azerbaijan Airlines flight crash in Kazakhstan. My thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all those affected by this heartbreaking tragedy," she noted on her post.

Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
