As reported earlier, the AZAL aircraft flying from Baku to Grozny crashed 3 km from Aktau Airport.
Axar.az reports that citing Telegram channels, the first images of Russian and Azerbaijani citizens who survived and were brought to the Mangistau Regional Hospital after the crash are being presented.
It is noted that the Embraer 190 aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, operating flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, crashed 3 km from the city of Aktau. The cause of the crash was a collision with a flock of birds over the Caspian Sea.
The aircraft had 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
