A delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Director General Agil Gurbanov visited the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

As part of the visit, the Director General met with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksilikov. The parties noted that military cooperation between our countries is built on friendly and fraternal relations based on ancient historical roots.

The meeting discussed the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the military, military-technical, and military education fields and a detailed exchange of views on regional security issues.

Then, a meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Shaikh-Khasan Jazykbayev.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of such meetings in terms of expanding military cooperation and noted that the joint exercises held have a positive impact on increasing the professionalism of our military personnel and further strengthening our armies.

The meeting also held detailed discussions on several other issues of mutual interest.
