President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order “On the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences”.

Axar.az reports that according to the Order, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, together with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, will develop and implement a plan of events for the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The Cabinet of Ministers will resolve the issues arising from this Order.

The Order notes that in 2025, the country's highest scientific organization - the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences - will celebrate its 80th anniversary.

Since its establishment, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences has passed a path rich in achievements and has been recognized as a center that transforms the scientific and intellectual potential of the republic into a national treasure. The Academy's effective activity over the past period has been based on the principles of investigating priority problems of science following the requirements of the time, training highly qualified personnel in a wide variety of scientific directions, forming scientific schools, and expanding mutual relations with influential international scientific organizations. Today, the Academy actively participates in the successful implementation of state policy in the field of science, contributes to the acquisition of new knowledge, and raises the scientific and cultural level of society through social and humanitarian research.
