After Donald Trump gave Vladimir Putin a 50-day ultimatum over the war in Ukraine, Europeans have been greatly relieved and have turned their attention to Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip. But the Russian threat has not disappeared, and there is no sign that Moscow is ready to give in to the American ultimatum.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Gamish de Bretton-Gordon, a columnist for the British newspaper "Telegraph".
"The eyes of the world are elsewhere, but the most dangerous situation on the planet right now is in Ukraine," Gordon stressed.
He warned that the 50-day ultimatum will end quite soon:
"We must make sure that in September, we are not discussing the continuation of the war, but a just peace for Ukraine. The only person who is paying due attention to the war now, unfortunately, is Putin himself."
