Iran completes Mexican visa process for World Cup team

The process of obtaining Mexican visas for Iran's national football team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been completed.

Axar.az reports that Iran's ambassador to Turkiye, Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, said in a statement on X.

According to the ambassador, the visas were issued following consultations between the Iranian Embassy in Ankara and the Mexican Embassy.

Habibollahzadeh said the visas were granted without requiring national team players to appear in person at the Mexican Embassy and without undergoing fingerprinting procedures.

He added that, thanks to the efforts of the Iranian Embassy in Ankara, Mexican visas for all members of the national team were issued within 48 hours.

The ambassador also stressed that there are no problems regarding the issuance of Mexican visas for the team ahead of the tournament.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
