Iran team allowed to stay in US only on match days

Iran’s national football team will only be allowed to stay in the United States on match days.

Axar.az reports, according to Iran’s ambassador to Mexico, Abolfazl Pasandideh, the Iranian team had been informed that they would only be permitted to enter the U.S. on the day of their matches and would be required to leave the country the same day.

It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, starting on June 11.

Iran will compete in the same group as Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.
