Gurbanov unwilling to part with key Qarabag player

Qarabag head coach Gurban Gurbanov is unwilling to let one of the club’s key players leave this summer.

Axar.az reports that the player in question is Montenegro international Marco Jankovic.

Although Jankovic has attracted interest from clubs abroad, Gurbanov is keen for him to remain at Qarabag. As a result, all offers for the midfielder are expected to be rejected.

The experienced coach believes the 29-year-old would be difficult to replace and has therefore refused to approve a transfer.

Jankovic has been with the Agdam-based club since 2022. This season, he has made 39 appearances for Qarabag, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
