Man City appoint Maresca as new manager

Manchester City have appointed Enzo Maresca as their new manager, succeeding Pep Guardiola.

Axar.az reports, citing Sky Sports, that the 46-year-old Italian has signed a three-year contract with the Premier League club.

Maresca previously managed Manchester City's Elite Development Squad during the 2020-21 season, leading the team to the Premier League 2 title, before returning to serve as Guardiola's assistant during the club's treble-winning 2022-23 campaign.

He joins City after leaving Chelsea in January, having guided the London club to the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup titles.
